A Michigan man who opened fire on a Border Patrol station in McAllen was killed after agents opened fire. The attack happened shortly before 6 a.m. Monday morning. Police have not determined a motive, though FBI is now taking over the investigation.

.Office of the Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick says he and Gov Abbott agree on the need for early warning flooding sirens, which Kerr County lacked. Local officials said sirens were too expensive. “If the city can’t afford it, the state will step up,” Patrick says. “We need to have these in place by next summer.”
