Ms. Agnes Kirabo, the ED of Food Rights Alliance - FRA during her opening remarks, stated that she championed the conversation on financing land resources with CSBAG (csbag.org)


Bob Anyuru, Director Operations from LANDnet Uganda in his opening remarks at the post budget dialogue has called for continued advocacy for strong land management institutions and increased funding to the land sector and awareness of Women Land Rights. #HerLandHerRight

Steven Alor from CSBAG (csbag.org) observed that whereas funding to the programme area where the lands sector falls has increased, it ought be noted that the funding is just a mere 2% of the over shs 72 trillion National budget for 2024/2025 and doesn’t also meet NDP3 recommendations


Mr. Steven Alor an Economist from CSBAG (csbag.org) giving an overview of the budget allocation under the land sector. During his presentation, he talked about the population of women which stands at 51% as per the national census which was conducted by UBOS #HerlandHerRights


Moses Sonko, a principal economist from the Ministry of Finance said that much as funding to the land sector remains insufficient, he urged actors in the land sector to strengthen their case with evidence as they advocate for the enhanced funding to the sector that has a bearing on WlRs.

This morning at Touch the Heart Uganda offices in Kyebando katale zone,the grass roots women attended at training on Women's Land rights in Uganda to enhance the Stand4HerLand-UG campaign. UCOBAC
