Sec. Kennedy doesn’t think there are Head Start funding delays. The data says otherwise. From Jan. 1 to Apr. 15 2025, HS grantees received nearly $1 billion (34%) less $$ than in 2024. States + territories affected by regional office closures experienced especially large delays.

Tuning into the Ed & Workforce subcmte hearing on child care - please remember that ARPA funding was only ever meant to be short term, to shore up a crumbling & vulnerable sector. It was never designed to solve the deep-seated systemic issues that continue to plague this sector.

Dr. Ruth Friedman said it best: "The root of the child care crisis is that we are relying on the private market to solve a problem it cannot." TUNE IN: youtube.com/live/dvhgO-Esa…
