Congrats to C2C Advisor Dr. Kimberly Lucas on her appointment to the Board of Early Education and Care by Gov Maura Healey. We look forward to seeing her impact on shaping the future of early childhood education! kim.lucas Maura Healey MA Dept of Early Education and Care NU School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs

What a morning! Got to start the day at this gorgeous, brand new #playground in the #SouthEnd! With the support of so many friends, Ellis Early Learning + the South End community has a fantastic playground designed for young children! Congrats!

Data + community! Data is for people, of people. And community can use data as a tool. Thanks to This Week in Public Health for the opportunity to talk about research, data, community, and the work Dan O'Brien + I do at the BARI + NU School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs!

Loved joining the Commissioner + Governor Maura Healey in Clinton, MA in support of our early literacy initiatives! What a world of support at Clinton Elementary: teachers, assistant principals, principal, + superintendent all focused on strong early literacy foundations. 🤓📖💪🏽

Congratulations to Wellesley Centers for Women on 50 years of pioneering research in support of women + marginalized genders! So proud to work with + follow in the footsteps of Wendy Wagner Robeson--looking forward to even more research on child care + early childhood!

Farewell, Engagement Lab. While you will no longer have a physical footprint at Emerson College, we know that your spirit + work is institutionalized in your partner communities here in Boston and in all of the friends + partners showing up for you today + always.

Started my day yesterday with Aimee Sprung + friends celebrating EdVestors #SchoolOnTheMove Prize. Congratulations to the Mattahunt Elementary on being this year's winner and congratulations to Josiah Quincy Elementary School + BATA for being amazing finalists!

Ending my day today at the Taubman Center for State and Local Government to discuss Jeffrey Liebman new report, "An economic analysis of the #childcare and early education market in Massachusetts"! Some really good conversation focused on prioritizing next steps for the field in MA.

Excited to share some recent work done with Wendy Robeson (Wellesley Centers for Women) + our stellar team of NU graduate students and Wellesley undergraduate students. We learned a lot about 'post-pandemic' #familychildcare in Massachusetts in this mixed-methods study, and we hope you do, too.
