Head coach Lincoln Riley starts his press conference by thanking the media for advocating for Mike Leach's induction into the CFB Hall of Fame. He then builds on it by advocating for former USC head coach Pete Carroll to be inducted as well. (Carroll is one year short)

Head coach Lincoln Riley explains one of his biggest regrets so far during his tenure at USC was hitting the portal hard in Year 2 rather than the "home grown" high school recruiting method the program has embraced as of late.

Coach Riley shared that there are no specific updates at this time. He did note, however, that he is looking forward to that process wrapping up soon.

On USC QB Jayden Maiava: "He's got a chance to be a really, really special player. He's a humble, hard worker that has the respect of everyone in our building," head coach Lincoln Riley said.

#USC HC Lincoln Riley on Kamari Ramsey: "He's another guy that we've really challenged to step up and be a leader vocally." He has an opportunity to play football for a long time. It's something that's only going to make him more valuable at the professional level.

USC coach Lincoln Riley making it clear he wants to keep playing Notre Dame -- "It's one of the reasons I came" -- but adds the schools "are in radically different situations" with schedules and CFP paths, and that it underscores need for a system with more automatic qualifiers.
