I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the People’s Lawyer and my friend: MN Attorney General Keith Ellison. Keith has been fighting against Trump’s attacks on behalf of Minnesotans. It’s all of us versus extremist, greedy billionaires, but we are stronger. Thank you, Keith!

Gratifying to see justice in this long case. Fighting wage theft in civil law is a longtime priority of mine and winning MN’s first criminal conviction for wage theft is a big deal. Congratulations to Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty Mary Moriarty & her office for this important milestone.

You can’t afford your life or live with dignity, safety, & respect when an unelected billionaire & his tech bros yank your hard-earned Social Security out from under you based on lies. Social Security is fundamental to American society and I will always fight to protect it.

All too often, people getting charged high overdraft fees are those who can least afford to pay them. Limiting these excessive fees is a common-sense rule that puts money back in the pockets of working folks. I am calling on Congress to serve the people, not the big banks.

The CFPB is one of the few institutions working to level the playing field, hold powerful bad actors accountable, and stand up for hardworking people when they’ve been ripped off. I was proud to vote for the creation of the CFPB in Congress and I will always fiercely defend it.

My office's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit works hard to hold people accountable when they steal from taxpayers. I'm proud of this work, and I encourage the legislature to pass our bill to give these highly skilled fraud fighters more resources to do this important job. #mnleg

Glad to join NY AG James, Rob Bonta, Attorney General Matt Platkin, and Illinois Attorney General for a Community Impact Hearing in NY. We're listening to stories about the impact Trump's chaotic and cruel policies are having on people's lives and sharing how we're standing up to his overreach.

We can break the cycle of inaction that has claimed far too many lives — but only if we act. My reflections on the fifth anniversary of George Floyd's death. startribune.com/attorney-gener…

Our office has received dozens of calls today that Minnesotans are receiving fraudulent text messages claiming to be the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. Let me be clear: DPS & DVS will never send you a text asking for money. Visit ag.state.mn.us/robocalls to file a report and help us stop them.

I would like to offer my congratulations to the Champlin Park Rebels on their hard-earned victory today. I am proud of the achievements of everyone on the team, and I'm sure their friends, classmates, and community are as well. 1/5

Some are trying to use the Rebels' victory to justify excluding a small group of students from playing sports, and in doing so, they are placing these teenagers, still minors, at the center of a political firestorm. 2/5

This is as cruel as it is saddening, and risks subjecting these kids to a tidal wave of online hate and harassment. I sincerely hope calmer heads prevail, and I urge people to remember their empathy and humanity. 3/5

Attorney General Keith Ellison (@agellison) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I believe it is fundamentally wrong to single out one group of students, who already face higher levels of bullying, and tell these kids they cannot be on the team because of who they are. 4/5

In the Minnesota I know and love, nobody is outside of the circle of our compassion, and everybody deserves to live with dignity, safety, and respect. 5/5

There can be no true public safety for any of us without public trust. But it’s hard to trust the law when the law won’t show its face. That's the topic of my latest op-ed, now live on Substack. Read the full piece and subscribe today: affordingyourlife.substack.com.
