Yesterday I learned that Allstora, a company that specializes in books with gay themes and was cofounded by RuPaul, is selling THAT OCTOBER. I’m just delighted, because there is a strong gay subplot among the high school friends in the book.

It’s been in the 90s and very humid here for weeks now. But I’m saving all my weather complaints for September when NOLA will be like a swamp for Bouchercon. Luckily, writers are not very cranky.

Quill and her world are amazingly rich and textured. Epic fantasy!

SUPERMAN is a lot of fun. The movie has the freshest take on the very human hero, his allies and enemies in years. Great action, performances and surprises. The movie plays out in a fully fleshed out world. (Look for the quick Gotham City reference.)

I look forward to fresh tomatoes every year. The ones available in stores year ‘round have no taste. We went to a little farm store yesterday and got a couple and a couple of peaches. Breakfast was tomato slices on turkey sausage.
