After waiting on revision feedback, then grinding through necessary-but-tedious re-outlining and research tasks, I finally had a chance to do some actual writing today, turning out a whole new scene! Happy Sunday! #amwriting #amrevising

Was lucky enough to have a free weekend and some cloudy weather, so I took two walks today and wrote two new scenes. This revision is feeling much closer now!

I began Megan Abbott’s The End of Everything in awe of the 1st few pages: gorgeous prose, a full cast with rich relationships, budding sexuality, and impending tragedy. Having finished it, every promise made in those pages was fulfilled. I loved this book.

Proof copies have arrived! I've absolutely LOVED researching and writing #TheLostMan and can't wait for it to come out. 67 days until the Australian release. Out in February 2019 in the US and UK. I hope you all enjoy it.

In one week, there will be a new Tana French book! In the meantime, there is this interview. "...the psychology behind it, that's why I'm reading the genre. It's not whodunit. It's why-done-it—and what happened to them when they done it." goodreads.com/interviews/sho… via Goodreads

For anyone interested in my writing process, this actually covers it really well. Thanks @GarretPodcast for a very interesting discussion.

As mom to an anti-napping 5-mo-old, I need reassurance that it is possible to both mother and write. It's particularly nice to hear it from someone who is prolific and whose work you admire. ❤️ "In her first eight years on the planet, I wrote seven novels" #goals

Just bought #TheLostMan and very much looking forward to it. I love the way Harper utilizes traditional mystery structure, and she has a fantastic grasp on setting, which becomes a character in itself.

I am THRILLED to be in Literary Hub today with the essay I needed in my first few months post-partum. Thank you to Kate Hope Day (find me on Instagram 😘) @finejuli Melissa Macedo Rivero and Andrea Williams for talking to me about the *positive* impact of motherhood on writing. lithub.com/writing-during… via Literary Hub

Any recommendations for books featuring mass paranoia/hysteria? I'm re-reading Megan Abbott's The Fever, but looking for more in that vein.
