This order is an unmitigated disaster for US academia and for the country. It will have a chilling effect on the ability of the US to attract the world's best scientists and engineers even if lifted by a new administration because of the uncertainty it creates.

We abhor the ICE decision related to F-1 visas. We remain committed to fully supporting the many Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health students who may be impacted by these changes. We are working quickly and in collaboration across Johns Hopkins University to understand, address and oppose the announced rules.
