Wonderful review by Marcus Berkmann in The Spectator of Tim Wigmore's TEST CRICKET: A HISTORY: "splendid, comprehensive", "sparkling and entertaining", a "clean and focused narrative" with "an eye for the telling detail". It is all of those things and more. spectator.co.uk/article/the-ti…

This almost certainly has more to do with the Third World levels of inequality/segregation in NYC than it does with his ancestry, but there's something so Indian about Zohran Mamdani's populism: AAP (free bus fare) + ADMK (Amma Canteen) + rent control.

Read recently: Aditya Balasubramanian’s Toward a Free Economy (Princeton 2023). A study of the Swatantra Party in the context of Indian libertarian thought in the 1950s/60s. The movement supported freedom of enterprise, a small state, and reduced federal control over regions.

This is unhinged. He’s not a jihadi (which is an insane smear) and being opposed to the ruling party in India doesn’t make anyone anti-Hindu

India have two of the greatest, most unique wicket-taking geniuses in the world in their squad. Both are fit and neither is playing.

Not playing Kuldeep is why India have basically been new ball or bust in these conditions as far as wicket-taking is concerned.

Really not happy about Partey situation, innocent until and all that, but given he wasn't charged, i dont believe legally he could have been suspended. But the fact that they tried to renew during the summer, should mean that a lot of criticism will be thrown rightly so at club

Still hard to swallow that the club tried to extend his contract. Two weeks ago it stalled out - the reporting was that it was over money but it’s not hard to wonder if the club got wind this was coming. To state the obvious, the whole affair makes Arsenal look TERRIBLE.
