Walking to a jet on a carrier flight deck at night takes intestinal fortitude, but none of my peers had to face what our ancestors of Task Force 58 faced, against a heavy force, at the limit of their fuel, and with a night trap - if they could find home. 400 men manned up. Lest

Ward Carroll had me on his channel last week to talk about U.S. Navy ship name conventions, such as they are. Lots of comments, and don’t want to deprive you guys (gender neutral term) an opportunity to chime in on this net. youtube.com/watch?v=pvFIUh…

Outstanding episode from Ward Carrol with expert guest Sal Mercogliano (WGOW Shipping) 🚢⚓🐪🚒🏴‍☠️ Twelve years from keel to commissioning is unsat, but at least it’s not 19 yrs from contract signing to first F-35C deployment. Time for the SOB’s like King in WWII to fix this, but I’m not sure we have any.

Mooch and I discussed SECDEF pulling the nomination of RADM Buzz Donnelly for C7F. In any organization, when new leadership arrives, you adjust to the new policies. That said, our culture is increasingly coarse, and our military recruits in this culture.
