After their trip to the Wallace Collection, year 4 have practised sketching portraits and facial features. To coincide with their WW2 topic for history, the children drew portraits of WW2 soldiers and nurses. They all did a great job - well done Year 4!

Keyworth was visited by author Sharika Chauhan, the creator of Maya’s Worldly Wonders Series. She delivered an assembly where she read some extracts from her books, talked about how she became an author and answered children’s questions. Thank you! Sharika Chauhan

Year 5 had the incredible opportunity to visit the Royal Festival Hall to watch the Philharmonia Orchestra perform. The highlight of the day was singing along using British Sign Language to a beautiful song, making the experience even more special and inclusive!

Pedal Power! 🚲 Year 4 and 5 students had a blast in the Fix-a-Bike workshop, where they learned essential skills like repairing punctures, pumping tyres, and fixing chains and brakes. A great way to keep their bikes in top shape and boost their confidence on the road!

Year 4 have been studying the WW2 artist Wilfred Stanley Haines. They have really enjoyed experimenting with his painting styles of the London skyline during the Blitz and have created some impressive recreations.

Year 4 visited the London Docklands Museum to expand their learning on what life was like in London during WW2. They enjoyed sitting in an Anderson shelter, finding out about eyewitness accounts of the Blitz and trying on costumes from history of the Docklands.
