I will present the ACM TOCHI paper “Using Feedforward to Reveal Interaction Possibilities in Virtual Reality” at 17:00 today in room 313A (dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/36…). The paper offer fresh ideas on how design interaction in VR.

Between 11 and 20% of our time is lost to computer frustration. At #chi2024, at 10 o'clock in room 324, I will document this using Morten Hertzum's and my ACM TOCHI paper and discuss what to do about it.

New paper out in IJHCS! Aske Mottelson, Kasper Hornbæk, and I found that demand characteristics influence experimental outcomes in HCI. We find that when participants guess the experimenter's hypothesis, they tend to behave and respond in ways that match those guesses.
