Waders on, trash out! 🗑️ Our volunteers suited up and stepped into Pogue’s Run for a hands-on cleanup that helped to keep our waterways clean and thriving. From bottles to bags, this team showed up ready to protect one of Indy’s hidden gems. 💦

Our Urban Naturalists have been hard at work maintaining the stormwater planters at CSO 33—the site where the UN program began in 2015! This project was designed to combat Indy’s combined sewer overflow and protect our waterways, and it remains a key part of our work today.

The INDPLS Airport Auth. brought their A-game to Crown Hill GreenSpace for their Corporate Day of Service. In a few hours, they moved 8 cubic yards of mulch, mulched 47 trees, weeded 500 square feet of native plantings, and cleared 2,500 square feet of gravel pathway! Indy Department of Public Works

Wellness starts with the environment. 🌿 Our Urban Naturalists and Youth Tree Team participated in an invasive species removal at Brookside Park. Since 2018, KIB crews have removed over seven acres of invasive plants, helping restore the health of this vital green space.
