Dee Nickerson Keeping Dee’s name and wonderful paintings alive . I miss seeing her work. We all do. Thinking of her and hoping she’s ok.

Our host this week uses her #poem ‘Stretch’ as inspiration, for poems of max 100 words about bodies. Mine is 97 words and I’m just about to go to aqua aerobics! Welcome back Bex Hainsworth #poetry #writing TopTweetTuesday

You hooked me with the opening line, Paul, and I love the thought of the stains left by Monday and Tuesday and staying within the margins for the weekend.

A heart-wrenching, tide-torn poem, Carolyn, which brought tears to my eyes. I wish their was a different emoji to the heart to express that.

Your direct address had me looking for a pair of dirty knees, Louise! Love the use of direct address and the senses in this poem.

I learned a new word this morning, and I love the way you included ‘craquelure’ and ‘cracked earth’ in the opening lines, Regine, and the hints of colour.

I felt that scything cramp, Helen, and I love the simile ‘masseuse hands rub like the raving stridulation of a deranged cricket’! And then your poem ramped up. You almost put me off aqua aerobics this morning!

For TopTweetTuesday and today’s inspirational host Bex Hainsworth here’s my offering inspired by her poem. Have a great day reading and reviewing, Bex, many thanks! I’ll be reading through later on today. Have fun, everyone.

I love a shape poem, Martin, and I love the way you sculpted this one and the reference to Michelangelo. The ending makes so much sense and I wish more people thought like this.

This is a poem to read several times, there’s so much to appreciate, Vikki. I particularly like the ‘gypsum limbs’, ‘Father’s kind eyes’ and lashes like ‘bent oriental fans’.
