I was so sorry to hear of the passing of my friend and former colleague Frank Ruff. No one cared more for rural Virginia and his constituents. He was the epitome of a servant leader. wric.com/news/virginia-…

Congratulations to my brother Joe on his campaign victory! His strong record as a teacher and school superintendent was a major reason he was the top vote getter in the school board race. I know he will do a wonderful job for our community over the next four years.

#VeteransDay is an opportunity for us to honor and thank all the men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces. We owe them a debt of gratitude for sacrifices they—and their families—made.

Today marks one year since the passing of Bill Flanagan. Bill lived a life dedicated to serving others, be it his family, church, state, or nation. Hardly a week passes without someone mentioning to me a way in which Bill has a positive impact on their life.

Congratulations to Colonial Heights VA native Noah Murdock who was selected by the Athletics in the Major League phase of the Rule 5 draft! Having coached Noah in little league, it was always clear he had incredible talent. athleticsnation.com/2024/12/11/243…

All the kids and grandkids made it Virginia for the recent Christmas holiday, so of course we took a quick trip to visit the Capitol.

I was in Loudoun recently for the VA Funders Network Summit. This gathering brought together philanthropic, business, & ed leaders from across the state. I discussed the importance of internships as a key factor in growing our state's talent pipeline. loudounnow.com/business/phila…

Julie and I are so proud of our youngest son for graduating from USC Joseph F. Rice School of Law today. Cameron has a job at a top 100 law firm this year and will begin a federal clerkship in 2026. Congratulations, Cameron!

This #MemorialDay, we remember the fallen. And we reflect on how we honor their legacy, with Virginians overwhelmingly supporting affordable access to higher education for military families. More from @CNUcaptain's Pres. Kelly & VBHEC’s Kirk Cox: virginiabusiness.com/virginia-milit…
