If you bulldoze nature illegally - free pass. Chain yourself to a bulldozer to protect nature - straight to jail. Nature destroyers are above-the-law, while nature protectors are prosecuted to the full extent of the law

“More than 20 per cent of all climate and environment protests in Australia involve arrests - more than three times the global average. Australia's arrest rate was the highest of 14 countries in the global study.” #StateCapture abc.net.au/news/2024-12-1…

The long awaited NT lobbyist register will apparently include an exemption for representatives from industry bodies “as it is clear who they are advocating for”, and “large corporate firms”. Hip hip hooray for the failed state. ntindependent.com.au/clps-half-arse…

The NT CLP Govt has this week defunded environment groups amid massive gas expansion plans, and proposed new authoritarian laws which transfer powers to an unelected bureaucrat to exempt projects like fracking from environmental laws altogether. reneweconomy.com.au/nt-strips-fund…

The former director of the ACCC Gas inquiry is calling for limit on gas exports. 80% of Australia’s gas is exported. They are draining the system to the point we need to start importing gas, and they price gouge us for our own gas. Of course we should cut exports!

The Australian Government has just approved Woodside/Japan LNGs Scarborough gas project. It will add 878 million tonnes emissions to our atmosphere, making fires, floods etc more frequent and extreme, causing $256 billion damage. We all pay the cost. info.nopsema.gov.au/environment_pl…

#PODCAST The NT Government has today scrapped the previous government's renewable energy target 💡 So 50% renewables by 2030... is dead. Good decision or not? Have a listen 🎧 abc.net.au/listen/program…

The NT CLP Govt has passed laws giving a bureaucrat (& former gas industry boss) powers to exempt projects altogether from 32 laws, including land clearing, water, fracking, cultural heritage and enviro assessment laws. This should be national news. abc.net.au/news/2025-03-1…

Let’s add unacceptable nature impacts to the list of the Middle Arm gas hub’s travesties. Time for the $1.5 billion taxpayer subsidy for this climate, health, economic and nature disaster to be diverted to things that are actually good for the Territory. theguardian.com/australia-news…

In the midst of an election campaign, Australia has just approved one of the dirtiest gas projects in the world. Santos’ Barossa project will generate more carbon dioxide than LNG. Its approval is a failure of climate policy. abc.net.au/news/2025-04-2…

This week, Australia’s dirtiest gas project, the Barossa Gas Project, got the green light from offshore regulator NOPSEMA. Santos can now charge ahead with its climate-wrecking plan to exploit the Barossa gas field off the NT coast, a field with more CO₂ than any other in

“Leaked document shows two threatened species could be completely wiped out at Middle Arm” The Middle Arm gas and petrochemical hub is still backed by a $1.5 billion taxpayer subsidy. It’s an atrocious project that should never have made it this far. theguardian.com/environment/20…

A leaked report has confirmed what Larrakia people and environmental experts have been saying all along — Labor's Middle Arm Gas Hub is an ecocidal disaster in the making. We now know that two threatened species could be wiped out by this project. theguardian.com/environment/20…

US military fuel tanks in Darwin Harbour have been build without a building permit, and not to cyclone code, with an engineer saying they could cause “catastrophic consequences” for human life and the environment. This is truly shocking, and terrifying. abc.net.au/news/2025-05-2…
