Let me contribute to the "big specimens' season" with (literally) an orange in the uterus 😀😀 The bonus questions are: 1. what was the preoperative diagnosis in the endometrial biopsy? 2. what did the pathologist do after seeing the biopsy? #pathology #gynpath

Sir James Paget first described Paget disease (PD) of the breast in 1874. He reported a chronic eczematous disease on the skin of the nipple and the areola in 15 women, with an associated intraductal carcinoma of the underlying mammary gland. CK7 and CK5/6 #BreastPath

My approach to splenic CNB 🐡 70 yo male diffuse splenomegaly. Small fragments 🥹. So step 1: can I recognize the red and white pulp? I marked them with arrows (red is red, blue is white). Always throw in a CD8 for architecture, helps with confirmation of red vs white pulp.

Continue with the brief SEAP pre-congress games. This is a #GynPath case. With this #IHC #ki67p16, you'd say it's endometrioid carcinoma or HPV-associated cervical adenocarcinoma. I'm posting a survey. #SEAP2025SS SEAP-IAP #pathology

44F with hemithyroidectomy. Supplied history was ‘thyroidectomy’. 🙄. 11mm encapsulated nodule. No capsular or vascular invasion.

CC362. Effusion; in his 70s. No history. We will diagnose without cell details. In general terms, cellularity is a useful, but 2nd-level criterion for diagnosis. Images of "super-cellularity, from a bird's eye view", should make you think immediately of this diagnosis. Part 2⬇️
