Ahead of Armenia this spring, we talk to Zeinab who as a child survived the 1982 Sabra and Shatila massacre in Lebanon. She devotes her time to social activism, now exploring how solar energy supports Palestinian homes in Beirut. From her story, “Make of yourself a light”💡

Fernando Botero’s “Mujer Fumando” (“Woman Smoking”) one of the many sculptures making up the Armenian Cascade arts space and monument 🧡 She has a great view, but from above we see the incredible Mount Ararat… Thrilled to arrive in Yerevan, for Kitabna - Our Book CIC workshops, 2023!

Beautiful parting gifts from our Armenian partners Cultural & Social Narratives Laboratory & @m_yeghiazaryan 💜📚 “Many of our interviewers became aware of LGBTQI+ topics for the first time, ‘met people like them’ and found answers to their questions no longer by chance but by consciously looking for them.”

So proud of Kitabna - Our Book CIC co-founder, journalist, Arabic translator and my dear friend Asia for gaining German citizenship. She used her passport for the first time to visit me in England - uniting our Kitabna family! Since Beirut 2014, teamwork makes the dream work 💜
