I had a great time interviewing Prof. Nisarg Shah Nisarg Shah at IJCAIconf 2024! We talked about fairness, policy, and the role of machine learning theory. This was my first time interviewing a ML researcher, another one coming online soon 😁

I really enjoyed this conversation with Professor Hadfield. One point that especially caught my attention—and led me to read her book: Rules for a flat world—was the question of how AI legislation should shape incentives for data producers and creators.
