Not everything benefits from being highlighted in the media. It’s important not to make new suicide methods better known, to tackle them under the radar. Even if it looks like nothing is being done. It’s an area of top priority for the national #SuicidePrevention strategy.

#Suicideprevention v #AssistedDying The debate hasn’t acknowledged enough the line AD crosses on society’s fundamental values: preserving life, protecting those most vulnerable. Where does that leave those facing other kinds of despair? Where does it leave mental health care?

We are disappointed that the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill has passed its latest stage in Parliament. We continue to argue that vulnerable people need protection, and for high quality palliative care for all who need it. #AssistedDyingBill
