How does the choice of local random gates affect global randomness generation rate in quantum circuits? In our new paper (arxiv.org/abs/2504.07390), we resolve this open question by proving that non-Haar random circuits form unitary designs as fast as Haar random counterparts.

Is entire noise learning needed for unbiased QEM? Surprisingly, only knowing total error rate suffices; sample errors, then invert noise. This is robust to spacial AND temporal correlation. Thank you Haipeng and Ying for super exciting collaboration! arxiv.org/abs/2504.12864
