Countless impactful connections and important conversations in Calgary (and one or two ‘yahoo’s!). Thanks to Calgarians and our Western members for the warm welcome this weekend, and particularly to Alberta Municipalities | Strength in Members for hosting a wonderful event this evening. #CDNMuni #cdnpoli

Today at committee, those who continue to talk about the need for affordable housing, aka Communities First cllrs, voted to block non-market land sales to non-profit housing providers. There are still thousands of people on wait lists. The housing crisis isn't over. #yyccc

A reminder, on street bike lanes represent only .5% of total lane kilometres. How much money should we spend on a review for so little? #yyccc

I wasn't on council from 2009-15, but those are capital costs to build, not maintain. Contextually we spend over $40M annually to repave roads (maintain) But its not about one over the other, its striking a balance of both for residents to have choice or use by need.

Calgary has always been a city of leaders and trailblazers. I believe that the leadership of the city should reflect that spirit. Ward 11, I am your non-party affiliated candidate. Read my statement on why I'm seeking your support this fall. #yyccc co11aborate.ca/updates

I signed the Calgary on Purpose pledge. As your non-party affiliated candidate: -I will work across partisan lines -I will seek out voices who aren't always the loudest -I will uphold safe spaces for myself and others on my social media accounts. #yyccc calgaryonpurpose.com/pledge

The provincial government repealed the code of conduct for municipal elected officials. Ask your council and mayoral candidates if they will uphold the new voluntary reporting system I ensured through my notice of motion. youtube.com/live/skN_45Zy2… #yyccc

With a growing city and increased call complexity, supporting first responders is critical. My commitment to supporting Fire and Police if re-elected: co11aborate.ca/updates/platfo… #yyccc #calgarypolice #calgaryfire

If you're running for a party in the municipal election, it should be on all your communications, including your lawn and large signs. Reusing signs is no excuse, get a sticker. #yyccc

Rob, why aren't you sharing that you're part of Communities First party? Or is that a hidden agenda? Also, citizen satisfaction surveys show high levels of satisfaction with Fire and Police. If we want them to be better, where are you going to find the money?

It's funny really, when the same individual had a parody account targeting me and other councillors for years, it was known by Communities First councillors/candidates, and yet, they stayed quiet and in fact fed them information. But now it's a problem? #yyccc

Jen, you’re a sitting councillor. If you have concerns you have the ability to take it up with admin directly. This is an egregious, irresponsible, and unfounded allegation and is exactly what undermines trust in local government and public service. #yyccc

A must-read thread about the data around housing affordability. I asked CREB specific questions about how their own data contradicted their advocacy, I received no response. We need a study on vacancy of rows vs apts/condos to show exactly how middle housing is desired. #yyccc

Don't fall for rage bait politics. If you don't know the limitations of the role you're applying for there's a problem. Worse, this post is not only inaccurate it's being perpetuated by the mayor he's endorsing. I respond: youtu.be/nbmnnezq8K8
