I helped place an op-ed for my boss that talked about UnitedHealth and the response of Americans to their CEO being killed. Ironically, it was published yesterday during his surgery. In it, Nina Turner talks about how healthcare isn’t a left-right issue. 8/12

I’ve spoken to Trump-supporting family members about it this week and they agree. Our healthcare system is hell. We need a change. Desperately. 9/12

Why am I writing this? Idk, I’m a comms staffer and I don’t know what else to do other than tell my story. I’ve heard stories from people who were actually denied care, which resulted either in mountains of debt or more health complications. 10/12

I know that the more we tell our stories, the more we talk to each other about our experiences in not just our healthcare system, but every system, the more we can come together. 11/12

If you’re looking to read the op-ed I referenced, the link is below. I’m so grateful for Nina Turner’s leadership and willingness to speak out on the experiences of the working class. 12/12 jacobin.com/2024/12/nina-t…

Ryan Solsten The problem is trump supporters and Republicans don't want the government involved in healthcare. Even though they admit the insurance companies are awful and something needs to change, they don't have another solution so they will continue to sabotage any attempt to fix it.

Nina Turner Point of clarification: he needed a valve replaced and a double bypass for two different blocked arteries, one at 90% and one at 70%. There was really no other option than doing this surgery. He made it through surgery and is in good spirits. Thank you for all the love 💜

Nina Turner I want to use this post to ask for you to donate to Undo Medical Debt. My dad doesn’t have any, but 64 million Americans do. A $10 donation wipes out $1,000 of medical debt. unduemedicaldebt.org/?form=donate

Nina Turner Looks like we’ve reached the “this didn’t happen” stage of viral. It did, unfortunately. My dad is doing well, the doctor said what she said. Our system is terrible. Prior authorization is terrible.

Liam Nissan™ The proposed Community Note on this post is completely incorrect. At 73.5 cents per egg, three dozen eggs (36 eggs) would cost 2,646 cents (or $26.46). The $26.46 on the image is correct. Link to Community Note: x.com/i/communitynot…

The federal government will run out of money on March 14. Republicans, who control Congress and thus decide whether the government shuts down, will bring to the floor tomorrow arguably one of the worst budget bills ever. Let me break it down for you, and share where I'm at.

I’m a pro life, pro gun, pro faith, red blooded flag waving conservative Republican. There is not an issue set anyone can point to where I am left wing. But the day I shill for a two bit, sociopath, mass murdering Russian dictator will be a cold day in hell. and I won’t support

Republicans are voting today to cut healthcare for 72 million people to pay for tax cuts for billionaires. Dems, don't give them even one vote.

While Trump’s popularity crumbles and his administration faces backlash from both sides, his shadow president, Elon Musk, just secured a government deal that could put all of us at risk thegenzperspective.com/p/trumps-downw…

Abby Libby LOL. You voted for a rapist. You voted for a pedophile. You voted for a convicted felon. You voted for the guy whose name is all over the Epstein list and Epstein flight logs. If you’re surprised Trump wants to free the Tate brothers, you’re the voter Tяump loves:

Abby Libby You claim you voted to stop human trafficking and get rapists off the streets--yet you’re just now realizing Trump’s hypocrisy? His entire career has been about protecting predators, from Epstein to his own sexual assault allegations. The Tate brothers’ release is just the latest
