THIS IS A PROBLEM and I'm so glad we are finally talking about it. This week, I'm proud to be on the AGU Cryo Executive Committee and am so glad we have good folks on the Fellows Committee that push for change.

First day of school.. but this time as an assistant professor University Of Portland. Beyond thrilled to be joining this community and spinning up a glaciology group here!

I might be the only patron of my local Fred Meyer that is *deeply* saddened by the fact that they no longer carry gallon-sized jugs of Elmer’s glue.

Come be my colleague! University of Portland is hiring -tt prof of Environmental Studies. I love this place - perfect balance of small classes, stoked students, supportive community, good research support for a small SLAC. Nov 1 deadline. uportland.peopleadmin.com/postings/1097

Super proud of University Of Portland students Hannah, Parker, and Aidan at #AGU23 presenting our work on Mt. Hood. We found that Eliot glacier is an important part of regional summertime water resources and that debris on the glacier plays a role in insulating the ice and slowing retreat.

This is a custom glacier flow table we built to help Kiya Riverman with her research and show her students how ice flows under various conditions. She can build topographies on it, tilt it, inject water pressure, and even simulate tides! #glacierflow #cutom #ice #topographies
