Let me be abundantly clear: The things in this video are the simplest examples to not overwhelm or over-complicate this. MCP servers have the potential to be a paradigm shift. But like anything, there's also risks and limitations.

I've been using MCP servers to work with Power BI and Fabric, daily, for the last week. I'm already seeing it dramatically change how I use and think about everything from admin and governance to managing and creating reports. I think this can really augment many people.

Been discussing AI use-cases with medical professionals in the last few weeks and this analysis summarizes well why some of the AI marketing about diagnostic use-cases is misleading with concrete examples. Nice thread.

DAX SVGs in Power BI are starting to reach critical mass. Yes, you can do some cool stuff and there are excellent examples and use-cases. I see reports that are almost 100% DAX SVG on a regular basis. Duct tape is good for fixing little things; don't make your house from it.

Working with calculation groups? Now you can detect when no item is selected, or when multiple items are. This gives you more control over your logic and improves how your model reacts in edge cases. It’s a subtle change, but a powerful one. Let’s see it in action 👇
