One of the articles I’ve been the happiest working on came out today. And the part I worked on isn’t why it’s one of my favorites. It’s about birds, and why there are so dang many of them in the Bay Area. (Hear me out)

I feel like the community is feeling pretty drained & defeated. No treatments or sustained recognition, & so few allies — yet #LongCovid is impacting every aspect of society. Still, I'm so impressed with what small groups of even 1-2 people accomplish & contribute every year.

Last year The Sick Times was started by just two people, betsy ladyzhets 📊 & Miles W. Griffis, which has been so important for #LongCovid — all the LC orgs are not much bigger. I'd love to encourage folks to think of 1 small (or big idea) they can do in 2025 in small groups, or alone!

In a world where big wins feel hard, a bunch of small wins can lead to the momentum and inspiration we all need. Even a simple #LongCovid social graphic can reach 1-2 new people (or go viral). Also thinking about what small asks can we better make to current & potential allies?
