We're on to quarterfinal No. 1 of the KHSAA state baseball tournament - #1 Trinity (35-3) vs. #8 Taylor County (29-6).

The pitching matchup: Trinity sophomore Hudson Meredith (9-0, 0.79 ERA) vs. Taylor County junior Cole McLean (9-0, 0.12 ERA) McLean was just named Gatorade Kentucky Player of the Year and leads the state in strikeouts (119 in 57 innings). He's a Tennessee commit.

Taylor County puts runners on corners with two outs, but Gabe Cole grounds out to first to end the inning. Trinity coming to bat in the bottom of the first, no score.
