The 13th Annual Day Of The Ancestors: Festival Of Masks Honors Leimert Park Legends. The theme, “Seeds of the Village" pays homage to these individuals with a day of creative expression that engages the entire community in a celebration that honors all they left behind.

It's been amazing to see the community come out and make masks and headpieces in our Saturday Mask workshops! Maria Elena Cruz and Ronieka Pinkney lead this journey to imagine and create art that will be featured in the annual Day of the Ancestors: Festival of Masks!

Last week our community artist team gathered for a day of storytelling under the sun! They interviewed community members at Gladys Park about their connection to their neighborhood & input on the future design for a public art project We are excited to see the mural come to life!
