Aggregative #multicellularity has been described in a few taxa but it is present in all eukaryotic superclades. It seems like an uncommon type of multicellularity. Yes, it does. However, I bet it will be less and less uncommon the more we study different #protists along the tree.

Hey folks, if you are interested in reading our new book on the evolution of multicellularity, but you don't have a spare $200- this is for you! We collected the unformatted chapters (copyright belongs to the authors) in the link below. SCIENCE FOR THE PEOPLE!

Does morphology of microbial development evolve latently, and how? In our recent study nature.com/articles/s4200… together with Olaya Rendueles, we try to address this question using #Myxo.

When it comes to publishing, a young scientist can listen to science twitter that talks about the DORA declaration, preprints, & post publication peer review. Or they can listen to ERC consolidator grant reviewers who mostly rewarded people w/ multiple Nature & Cell family pubs.

This is great stuff! Is embryonal-like multicellular development ancestral to animals? Is (crazy) convergent evolution due to the inherent properties of cellular multicellularity? It's fascinating, and it raises so many questions! x.com/dudin_o/status…

This year #E3B seminar series at ETH Zurich/Universität Zürich ended with an amazing talk from Iñaki Ruiz-Trillo on animals' origin. It was a blast haiving Iñaki here, sharing scientific ideas and career experiences. Looking forward to get to know the #magnificent8!
