We must not standby and ignore. As a community we must promote inclusivity, tolerance, and respect. Port Moody is no place for this type of hate - it causes erosion of social cohesion, division, polarization, marginalization, exclusion and psychological and emotional harm.

We will continue to do all we can to take action on housing, but municipalities can’t take on this challenge alone. can01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%…

We appreciate that the Prime Minister has made an apology to Canadians about the shameful events of last Friday. During his apology, the Prime Minister stated, “Every year, there are fewer and fewer Holocaust survivors to share firsthand the horrors of what they experienced and

Honoured to speak at the Global Forum for Climate Justice. I shared my thoughts on inclusive decision-making, equitable distribution of benefits and burdens, the importance of access to resources and support and the work of local government and the policies we create. Much hope.

90% of housing opposition comes from people projecting their opinion of what is a livable home, block, city onto others If we paused, took a breath, and said: “this isn’t wrong, it’s just different then I am used to, and that is ok” We could solve this houses crisis, together😊

David Eby Josie Osborne 🇨🇦 The fact is that transit and Housing are inextricably linked and currently the transit system can’t keep up with the growing public demand for services across this region. Looking forward to the Province stepping up to work with Translink on a sustainable funding model.

As part of our homes for people strategy to build livable communities we’re launching a provincial TOD project at Moody Centre Skytrain station. This will bring hundreds of new rental units of family housing as well as childcare, healthcare, education and retail spaces

Another first for Port Moody. This was a $21 million project and was the first UV cure pressure liner installed in a force main in Canada. Well done staff and congrats on the recognition! can01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%…

After 2023 Mayor’s Town Hall on snow response, council listened! We purchased new equipment as well as our own brine production facility, so that we can meet the community’s expectations for this core service. Crews have been working continuously to clear and salt all routes.

This is what we will see on an ongoing basis if the provincial government continues to push for more housing, but doesn’t change their policies around how to build and fund schools, transit, and hospitals. Cities are trying to do their part but the province needs to step up.
