Day five of #LDWeek2023 & I’m signing off with a personal reflection. I’ve been a #SLT for 15 years now & I’ve always worked in life span #LDSLT services. When I tell people what I do for work, they typically respond by saying “oh, that must be so rewarding”. & Of course it is…

But it’s also empowering, insightful & inspiring. I tell them no two days are the same & I get to meet & hopefully help people with the most incredible stories. I explain that the individuals I’ve met through my work have taught me far more about life than I’ve ever taught them…

That I’ve learnt to add a SLT lens to a multi disciplinary focus & reaped the rewards in terms of +ve outcomes & understanding professional roles within our diverse, skilled workforce. I really do love my job. It’s rewarding & then some…❤️ #mysltday #SLTinLD RCSLT 💙 RCSLT Wales🗣️
