📣 Colinda Scheele and myself had a great collab with Salah Elias! Really enjoyed participating in this elegant work exploring the role of Annexin1 in the mouse mammary gland 🐁 (and in human breast organoids 🙋🏽‍♀️)! Congrats to all the authors! 🎈 ⬇️ to find more!

Larissa Mourão is a postdoc at the Colinda Scheele lab and “chops up boobs for a living”. 😃 She grows breast tissue organoids to research how healthy tissue architecture influences the formation of tumors. 🧫 This is her advice to young researchers: #WomenInScience

I hear and read a lot about the Father(s) of organoids. The first organoids were made by Mina Bissell more than 30yrs ago using mammary epithelial cells. Therefore, it is the Mother of organoids. #JustSaying
