Nearly everyday I speak with people who have recreated their lives. They have overcome horrendous experiences and still show up with compassion to serve others. Compassion and unity is what creates long term change. Hate and division is unsustainable because it’s never stable ✌🏼

All children have now been moved into secure care from Young Offenders Institutions. This is a key measure in the Children (Care and Justice) Act. @ScotGov will work with the secure accommodation centres to ensure their safety and wellbeing. More at ▶️ bit.ly/3Z9q29h

Serious questions need to be asked about how the standard of care dropped so significantly. This is why listening to young people is so crucial. Not just a tick of a box but a mindset and a promise! My heart goes out to the young people, their families and friends ❤️

Our vision is for a Scotland where all children and young people’s rights are respected, protected and fulfilled. For that to happen, Scotland must be a place where all children and young people can stand up for their rights.
