I often see IV clarithromycin prescribed for severe pneumonia. Didya know : -oral clari has same bioavailability at IV? IV is not ‘stronger’ -pts often say IV clari is painful -IV clari takes aaages for nurses to draw up You only need to give it IV if the patient can’t swallow👍
