The time passes, but the love does not. Today, on the anniversary of the shooting at my high school in Parkland, I remember Alaina and Alyssa as friends, not victims.

It takes so much courage to know when to step away. This difficult choice shows that Biden values his country and democracy over his own ego, which is more than many other politicians can say. Now we have a shot at protecting the legislation he has worked tirelessly to enact.
