I wish we would dream more, like really dream — beyond barriers and fears and trauma and grief and oppression.

Of course it would cost less to house people than to maintain & police poverty. We know this, the state knows this. But deliberate impoverishment and criminalization of poverty serves a broader strategy of precarity & disposession in racial capitalism and settler colonialism.

I’ve said this before but the primary thing in my opinion that people misunderstand about nonviolent movements of the past is that they were only successful because of their ability to cause economic disruption. You can’t have a social justice movement that protects capitalism.

I'm not shocked. I'm not horrified. I'm angry. I'm angry it takes scientific methods to "prove" what survivors have known FOR DECADES. I'm angry that is has taken this long for communities to get the support they need. And I'm determined to do whatever I can to help.

Cis supremacy always leads to white supremacy because cis supremacy is rooted in colonial ideas about gender, ideas that were never built to include black people or black cultures. You can’t be anti-racist and transphobic, because transphobia always leads to racism.

The ability to articulate one’s experience in language that is both understandable & acceptable (within the culture one is speaking to) is highly contingent on class, ability, & access. There are many folks who share your values but cannot preform acceptability bc of this.
