Today the LVPD Honor Guard was present at the Police Memorial Service, which honored those officers (current and retired) from all metro area agencies who have passed away in the last year. Thanks to the La Vista community for supporting the men and women of the LVPD.

This morning several of our officers were honored by the Papillion Fire Department for heroic actions they took recently to save the life of a man suffering from a heart attack. Two of the three officers were not able to attend today, so Officer Woodington represented the group.

Heads up! Nebraska DOT will be closing the Giles Road exit ramp from I-80 west starting Friday, June 6, at 9 p.m. This closure is anticipated for 10 days while crews continue painting the Harrison Street bridge. For more information about the project: ndot.info/22853.
