I had the most magical Christmas party in the library of LBI Trauma! Forgot to refill my drink all evening (but had all the more of the all-vegetarian buffet) and enjoyed the company of my favorite science people till well after midnight.

Congrats to Dr. Marlene Wahlmüller on defending her PhD at JKU Linz! 👏👏 In a joint project between Morphomed & LBI Trauma, she explored how ASCs can transform personalized medicine - investigating how lipedema, donor age, and senescence affect therapeutic stem cell function.

Congrats to Dr. Isabel Casado Losada on completing her PhD at MedUni Wien! Under supervision of Sylvia Nürnberger, Isabel focused on optimizing cartilage regeneration strategies, investigating the chondrogenic potential of decellularized cartilage scaffolds.

Our Susanne Wolbank, Head of Cell-Based Therapies Research, opened the Amnion Session at the Annual Conference of the European Association of Cell and Tissue Banks (EACTB) with her keynote lecture "Amniotic Membrane 2.0 – Outlook on Next Generation Products".

Celebrating Dr Sergiu Dumitrescu’s successful PhD defense at MedUni Wien! His work shows that certain reactive oxygen species from NOX4 are essential for the proliferation of human amniotic stem cells. Sergiu will continue as a Postdoc in the Sepsis-Trauma-Shock Group of @osuchm
