Yesterday the State announced their agreement to keep six Steward hospitals open in Massachusetts. Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley and I urge the Commonwealth to move with the same urgency to keep Carney Hospital in Dorchester open as well. Our joint statement is below:

Very troubling that leadership would not respond to the obvious public health crisis this will create. The time to act is NOW!

This community deserves an urgent response as prescribed by Bill Walczak. These are not easy decisions but we need our best minds on this ASAP!
