This oneβs for all the nervous 3rd year undergrads out there struggling to find an lab for #Honours π¬ For this weeks #WLLL blog, Iβve written a handy 6 tip guide for matching with your perfect Honours lab. Crossley Lab UNSW Science crossleylab.wordpress.com/2019/10/11/matβ¦

Congratulations to our two Honours students Leesa Lertsumitkul and Annalise Psaila for submitting their theses today! ππ UNSW Science

We did it! Thesis submitted all with a click of a button. Thank you to the amazing Crossley Lab for supporting me every step of the way. I think I can finally get a proper night sleep... π

My first PhD talk at WEHI in Melbourne. This was all but a dream of mine sitting in Sydney lockdown with a torn ACL just one year ago. Thank you to Misty Jenkins AO for taking me on and all the support. Honoured to be here and excited for the road ahead! β¨

Surreal to hear from Drew Berry at WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute). I remember being in awe of his real-time transcription animations back in high school. Sitting in the audience tonight reminded me of why I wanted to become a scientist all those years ago! π

Itβs official! Very proud to have passed this important milestone in my PhD. It was great to present and share my work. Couldnβt have done it without the support of the amazing people in my group and beyond. Now on to the celebrations! π WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute)

Such a fun experience live on radio today with Dr Shane Huntington OAM for his annual #20phds20mins program on Einstein A Go Go. A great chat about the complexities of brain cancer and how Iβm developing novel CAR-T cell therapies that can migrate into the brain.

Excited to judge the 2023 WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute) 3 Minute Thesis Competition! I am sure we are going to be in for a treat. #WEHI3MT

Weeds and brain cancer might have more in common than youβd think! π± π§ Stoked to have come runner up in this years WEHI 3MT competition. A real challenge but a great way to think about communicating our science. #WEHI3MT WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute) #scicomm

New #JITC article: EphA3-targeted chimeric antigen receptor T cells are effective in glioma and generate curative memory T cell responses bit.ly/4cirSYp Lisa Ebert Jordan R. Hansford Misty Jenkins AO

Very excited to share that my first first-author publication is officially live! π€© A massive shoutout to my supervisors Misty Jenkins AO and Ryan Cross for their guidance with this project, and support from the rest of the team.

Hereβs a closer look at βEphA3-targeted chimeric antigen receptor T cells are effective in glioma and generate curative memory T cell responses by Leesa Lertsumitkul, Melinda Iliopoulos, Stacie S. Awesome to see our Research Rockstar Prof Misty Jenkins AO work in the Herald Sun today. Misty and her WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute) teammates Leesa Lertsumitkul Melinda Iliopoulos, Stacie Wang, Dr Alex Davenport and Ryan S Cross authored this study, proudly funded by The Brain Cancer Centre with funding
