At Northolt, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Jerzy Boczkowski & Defence Attaché Col Rafał Nowak honoured the 🇵🇱 Airmen of WWII at the Polish Air Force Memorial. The ceremony was special thanks to the presence of Marian Słomka, RAF engineer & WWII veteran and, as of today, a centenarian.

Today marked the annual & 64th Commemoration of Fallen Polish Airmen held at the Polish Air Force Memorial, London. It was attended by Air Chief Marshal Harv Smyth in his first official capacity as Chief of the Air Staff & new Station Commander Northolt, Gp Capt Lee Wales. 🇵🇱

We undertook a major incident exercise involving a simulated crash on the aerodrome. It’s vital for testing our plans & ensuring we’re ready to respond to real-life emergencies. It also highlights the importance of collaboration with civilian emergency services. #teamnortholt

Our team of Visual Communicators really captured the essence of #LondonPoppyDay. Serving military personnel, Veterans, civil servants, ministers & volunteers joined force to raise ongoing funds for Royal British Legion who provide lifelong support to the Armed Forces community.

We hold regular Honours & Awards to recognise the valued contribution made by the RAF Northolt community. At our latest awards Commander Global Enablement, Air Commodore Paul Hamilton, kindly presented AOC 2 Group Commendations. Congrats to all recipients & thank you 🤝

The Station held its Remembrance Day service to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Led by the Station Padre, a trumpeter from RAF Music sounded the Last Post & Group Captain Lee Wales laid a wreath in their memory. #WeWillRememberThem

Please give a big 👏 to the NHEROs 25 winners. The Stn Cdr’s Leadership Award was presented to Sgt Tarra Scott for displaying exemplary leadership & mentoring resulting in a marked improvement in the RAF Police Flight’s overall strategic delivery on Station.

NHEROs 25 Awards: Mrs Emily Hayward has been the driving force behind the RAF Northolt Bumps & Babes Club, building an enthusiastic Committee to provide a regular hub for parents. She’s justifiably worthy of the Envoy to the Community Award, kindly presented by Universal Aviation

We also used the NHEROs 25 Awards to mark the departure of Mrs Debbie Forsythe Aramark Corporation who leaves RAF Northolt after 17 years as Mess Manager. Group Captain Lee Wales presented Debbie with a Stn Cdr’s coin in recognition of her service. 🤝🏆
