Why we VRA Nitrogen. Blue = High biomass crop (sandier soils) 50kg available N Red = Low Biomass (higher clay + boron) 126kg N Numbers are soil sample locations from 2 weeks ago & the corresponding available N results. Sand although looking the best requires more N than Clay.

Phosphorus trial in Stingray canola. Not a lot going on yet. Expect a maturity difference at the yellow end of the season. Rates weren't corrected for N & S in MAP, also had 1% Zn in fert.

Splitter boots... Are we really increasing crop comp and reducing weed seed set with them? The more it grows, the more I'm not so sure.🤷🏼‍♂️

Pushing the limits of ZRS ratios here. Spartacus back on wheat stubble. Rhizo more of an issue for broadcast seed. There are reasons why we don't all seed with a spreader and prickle chain combo.

750mm Gen090 chickpeas starting to look like a crop. Disc sown. Still thin where flutriafol (cockup) burnt the seeds, but nodulating happily enough.🤷🏼‍♂️

Agtech question: Is there anyway to upload soil zone shape files directly into the JD Ops centre so I can create prescriptions in the cloud directly and consign Apex to the dustbin of history? #asktwitter Leigh Leigh Bryan Philip Honey

ZRS Spartacus barley. Different %'s of seed spread in front of the tynes. Total seed rate 60kg\ha. Sweet spot for cover seems to be around the 50% mark, will be interesting to see where the sweet spot for yield is in 2019.
