It’s been a tough few weeks. My 10yo daughter was diagnosed with a very rare, aggressive cancer called interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma (IDCS). I’m reaching out to identify clinicians/patients who have encountered pediatric IDCS, indeterminate dendritic cell histiocytosis

Why test #celltherapies one-by-one when you can use multiplexed #SynBio, #proteinengineering & #ML to design, measure & track them at scale? The Goodman Lab Penn Medicine opens July 2025. We’re hiring Specialists & Postdocs! Apply @ bit.ly/42BnJNJ RTs appreciated!🙏

I'm excited for the opportunity to be speaking alongside these great panelists tomorrow. And stay tuned for some exciting news we'll be sharing after SynBioBeta!

Super fortunate to have Steve Jurvetson in our corner very early on before the dream was a reality! Steve and Maryanna at Future are as good as it gets. Grateful for you both 🙏

Something I've been thinking about: gene editing drugs (like Casgevy, Luxturna, Zolgensma) are a new paradigm in therapeutics, where it may be possible to cure many diseases with single administrations rather than managing them continuously via drugs that require ongoing use.

While Patrick Collison correctly points out a major flaw in the incentives of our current health insurance paradigm, the issue causing the pullback from gene editing and CGT companies more broadly is actually one that is core to the focus of many tech platforms: scalability.

AAV Apex Suite made its debut last week. Thanks SynBioBeta (and George 🙂) for amplifying the message. I’m so proud of our team. 64x Bio

Great coverage from Uduak Thomas at GEN on how our team 64x Bio is working hard to build solutions for manufacturing bottlenecks in gene therapy, starting with our new Apex Suite. We had a great (and jet lagged) conversation at BIO in Boston last week:

Board meetings are chapters in a company’s story — and like any good book, each chapter makes the most sense with full context of the prior chapters. I’ve found that most of the best founders and board members review BOTH the current board deck and the prior board deck before

I joined Julie O’Shaughnessy, Kate Rochlin, and Bruna Paulsen last week at BIO, to talk about biomanufacturing for advanced medicines -- such a critical piece of making this field work. Big thanks to Marinna Madrid for moderating and giving me the opportunity to spotlight the work we've

I've been working on variants of this problem for my entire career, and have only dreamed of designing molecules on the computer with success rates this high. Proud of Chai Discovery for pulling this off, and doing it with the speed, rigor and grace that was only imaginable ✨
