"Very often, political leaders, particularly in my party, go straight to the spend or tax lever. I go first to the growth lever." (May 2023) Sounds great... but has he actually governed like that?

The PM needs to govern as he said he would by following a growth first strategy. Growth was mentioned countless times during the election campaign but seems to have been forgotten upon entering Number 10

Keir Starmer promised he would back the builders, not the blockers, in reforming the broken planning system. Now he's surrendering to the Vegetable Lobby and gutting what should be a landmark Planning Bill. He is backing the blockers.

REALITY DENIAL: this Minister describes the Planning Bill BEFORE the Government's surrender to the Vegetable Lobby. It no longer works like this. Developers pay into the fund AND must demonstrate they are improving nature before any work can start. Double-whammy, not win-win.

Labour supporters are up in arms about the Government's surrender to the Vegetable Lobby. It's not too late to bury the Vegetable Amendments.

And the Chapter launched tonight! Talking (C) Barnet FC 🐝 stadium relocation and how we can take the fight to those who block a new football stadium because its floodlights might disturb the wildlife. Get in contact with [email protected] if you want to get involved!

The Prime Minister must bury the Vegetable Amendments. If he doesn't, his planning reforms are dead. His ministers don't seem to have a clue.

Rachel Reeves claims that gutting the planning bill of anything that makes it easier to build is WORTH IT because it'll save two months in Parliamentary scrutiny! What is a couple of months compared to the YEARS of delays this will cause in the broken planning system?
