the student has truly become the teacher. Florencia Fernández Chiappe offers a master class in dissecting the adult brain and preparing for ex vivo patch recordings! #cshldros24 CSHLflyneurocourse

Had an incredible time TAing for Nara Muraro’s patching module at CSHLflyneurocourse this weekend! Huge thanks to Tim Mosca (he/him), Robert Carrillo, and Reis Lab for the opportunity. Special shoutout to the coolest TAs: Sam, Parisa, and Mr Michael! 💫💖🪰

In light of yesterday's #WorldMosquitoDay, check out the recent opinion piece by Lindy McBride and me about mosquitoes as a model for understanding the neural basis of natural behaviors.

Exciting news! 🎉 Our article on the role of circular RNAs in the brain has been featured in a Spotlight article in Trends in Neurosciences! 🧠✨ I’m thrilled to see this work highlighted! From synapse to sensation: the role of circTulp4 Trends in Neurosciences cell.com/trends/neurosc…

The forced oscillator theory not only fits but also predicts features such as: “different type neurons may present lags in their oscillations”. So Florencia Fernández Chiappe did lots of very difficult dual patch recording of LNv pairs 🙌, and found exactly that! (4/7)

Thrilled to share that part of my PhD work is now featured in a new preprint from the Muraro Lab, in collaboration with the Morelli Lab Instituto de Investigación en Biomedicina de BsAs! Huge kudos to my co-first author Marcos Wappner for his incredible work. Argentinian science keeps resisting 💪🏽

It was so fun to write this review with Florencia Fernández Chiappe and Gabe Ocker on why olfactory sensory neurons might co-express receptors. New preprint is out! 🦟💫👃 sciencedirect.com/science/articl… Center for Systems Neuroscience, Boston University BU Biology

Had such and interesting conversation with The Lonely Pipette and colleagues about the postdoc life — the ups, the downs, and all the in-betweens. Give it a listen! 🚀 Thanks ALBA Network and IBRO - International Brain Research Organization for the opportunity to share my experience and ideas!

Happy to share a new review I wrote with Lindy McBride for Current Biology! If you’ve ever wondered about the source of your stank or just want to learn why humans smell weird (it's true!), then this review is for you! 👃🧪🤔 doi.org/10.1016/j.cub.…

Ayer Alejandro Bercovich habló en la radio de mi papá y de mí. A mí me dio un poquitito de vergüenza y un montón de orgullo. Ser argentina es el mayor privilegio de mi vida.

Another year, another patching lab at CSHLflyneurocourse. Had so much fun getting everybody to patch, together with the “Patching queen 👑” Nara Muraro. Thanks all the students for the hard work and Nara and course instructors Robert Carrillo Jens Rister Reis Lab for the invitation!
