Fall colors! For most, it's the oranges, reds and yellows of changing leaves. In my garden, it's the Wedding Veil Clematis--the fragrant white flowers are fragrant & attract bees and other pollinators. The vine needs to be cut back, but it comes back, bigger each year

Many thanks to the 100 volunteers who spent this Saturday morning changing the landscape at Syracuse's Schiller Park. Onondaga Earth Corps has been clearing out overgrown areas. Today, volunteers planted diverse trees, many of them native species...it looks cleaner and bigger

Thank YOU for donating to Salvation Army's Kettlethon. Friday, we raised $27-thousand to make the holidays happier. AND this afternoon, Moose is dressing up for the PAWS Book Fair (Barnes & Noble, Rte 31 Clay) to benefit our dog therapy group. Come meet her!

Busy work week for Moose: we re-started meetings after the holidays with several groups. Also the start of sessions at Eastwood's Paine Branch Library, where we will be meeting with pre-Ks from Honey Tree Daycare & Blessed Sacrament School.

My son Kyle & I in California last week. Monterey Bay Aquarium is huge, includes a glass bottomed tank. From San Francisco we sailed around Alcatraz, saw a Fin Whale, & the sea lions on Pier 37. We went for San Francisco Opera: soprano Nina Stemme is fabulous, worth the trip!
