The Big Segeleski. What does it mean? No idea. But what I do know is that this is a fruity, hazy, melon forward double IPA that is smooth and balanced. It's packs some punch of an 8.2% abv. It's another in a fine line of IPAs from Wood brothers brewing #CraftBeer

Had a nice little summer number with BicycleCraftBrewery Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp Fruited pale ale while camping this weekend. Balances tart and sweet. Mildly sour from the rhubarb, highly crushable with a 5%abv. Summer in a can #craftbeer

THIS ACTUALLY BOTHERS ME! Regardless of low ABV, a lot of breweries label beers as IPAs. Case in point: Sarnia's Refined Fool Brewing Co. calls their Pouch Envy an IPA even though it's only 5%. To me, that's a Pale Ale. Turns out to them, it was also a Pale Ale (right) once upon a time. 🀬😠

JUST A CANUCK PALE ALE KIND OF DAY! Man, she's some steamy out dere, b'y. Not sure why I'm talking east coast? Crazy from the heat? But remember when Great Lakes Brewery πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ used to call this Ontario OG beauty, Crazy Canuck? Busiest label ever until lumberjack Gordie Levesque came along.

IN THIS KIND OF HEAT... I'm more inclined towards the Pale Ales and lagers/pilsners than the IPAs. Haven't had this since Joel got it years ago for me. From Dominion City Brewing (my favourite Ottawa brewery) comes Paper Salesman Pale Ale. At 5.6%, big citrus and orange. Beauty!

What better way to stand on guard for thee, than yielding a Canadian Shield on your bicycle? There's probably better ways but still seems fun. This melon & grapefruit forward malty IPA was another winner from BicycleCraftBrewery. Last visit to the brewery proved fruitful #craftbeer

I've had many Wood Brothers Brews & a few of the Meow series. This might be my fav of that series & one of the better brews I've had from the brewery. Juicy, hazy, blast of citrus cut by a nice dank shot of hops. Smooth cat and 6.4 % Ibv. Better in a can than on tap #craftbeer

Got rained out at ball. Gallicus was a shining light tonight thanks to this delicious whisky barrel aged porter Baltique (ben oui) named Balsas. Rich notes of cocoa, coffee and that signature whisky barrel flavour that just hits. 10% abv, you've been warned. This #craftbeer is πŸ”₯

GIVING THE DONKEY A CARROT! Walking down St Paul St (downtown) to 1) work my gimpy leg and 2) it's the annual colourful Street Fest today. So lots going on! Stopped at Kully's Sports Bar for an All My Friends Brewing Headspace IPA. At 6.8%, lots of pineapple and grapefruit! πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘πŸ‘Œ

GIVING THE DONKEY ANOTHER CARROT! On my way to Trust Beer Bar so I have my beer bag that Buffet Princess made for me. One more at Kully's Sports Bar before I continue on my way. Here's All My Friends Brewing's Sauce Pale Ale. At 5.5%, mango, pine and heavy bodied for a Pale Ale!

SUNDAY AFTERNOON SIPPING SUDS! One of my finds at Trust Beer Bar yesterday was Whitby's Town Brewery Surf Rock (California) IPA. Definitely a west coaster, at 6.4%, the brewery says it also has some east coast tropical flavour. With distinct bitterness, I'm getting all west. πŸ‘

SUNDAY AFTERNOON SIPPING SUDS! Okay, another Trust Beer Bar find from yesterday. Back to Town Brewery for their Slow Poke Hazy IPA. At 6.8%, this is mostly orange with something else poking through but I can't pinpoint it? First thought was lychee but no. Doesn't matter. Tasty!

If you read my beer reviews, you know I don't review lagers a lot, but Second Wedge knocked it out of the park with this Malty little Zivotni Czech Lager. It's crisp, some notes of bread, malt that isn't too sweet and a clean finish. Some layers to this, very well done #craftbeer

Double Triple Citra. Another banger Double IPA from Wood Bros. Super juicy, borderline thick, hazy, sweet citrus and a nice pop of hops on the back end. Enjoyable little number, at 8% abv. #craftbeer
