In a paper accepted to #emnlp2023, Lisa Beinborn and Yuval Pinter define and analyze a benchmark based on *cognitive measures*. The high-level idea is that if the longer it takes ~people~ to decide if a character sequence is a word, the more tokens it should be broken down into. 3/5
