Looking forward to yet again being involved in the NW Sustainability Learning Conference in my role as Climate Trainer for Futureproof Cumbria

A lovely start to the summer term supporting Ewanrigg Junior School on their celebration day. The day was part of their Learning through Landscapes local school nature grant XL which also included support and training to develop playtimes, use of tools, literacy and maths in the outdoors.

Not one to normally make a selfie video, but here is my attempt at a short film to describe the work that I am involved in. #Oracy #Thinking Skills #Global Education and the #Outdoors Learning through Landscapes @SAPERE_P4C Futureproof Cumbria littlechatters.co.uk

I really enjoy co-ordinating an Outdoor Learning Network for Primary and SEND schools from across Cumbria, Lancashire and North Yorkshire. The Ernest Cook Trust will soon be supporting by administering the growing network. littlechatters.co.uk/outdoorlearnin…

I don't usually put personal posts on here, but on Saturday my husband, youngest and I are doing the 21 miles Coniston to Barrow walk in aid of Self Harm Awareness for All. We would really love to have more donations for this cause and to spur my son on. keswick2barrow.co.uk/donate/235437

Difficult, but important as a freelance trainer to fund time for my own professional development. I have just completed the Water Literacy training. As a Carbon Literacy and Climate Fresk trainer for Futureproof Cumbria and working on Learning through Landscapes Climate 180 project it was very relevant.

Summer term 2 is speeding in fast. I will again be presenting at the Sustainability Learning Conferences NW 💙 on Thursday 24th June and facilitating a discussion table and stand at the Morecambe Bay Curriculum Conference on Friday 5th July, this time in my role as Climate Trainer for Futureproof Cumbria.

I have just finished reading and digesting Raising the Nation - “Everything to Play For: A Plan to Ensure Every Child in England Can Play” report published on Wednesday-'International Day of Play'. Recommended for anyone interested in advocating for play. centreforyounglives.org.uk/play-commission
